Hello,
I downloaded and installed Path Finder 8 as suggested by @chsag in another thread about three weeks ago.

A quick question : is there any reason why I should not allow Path Finder full access including to my system files ? The prompt suggests allowing this for a better app experience. Is it risky?
(Yes, I did ask the same question in the thread mentioned above but no-one answered it.)

Thank you so much !

Ann

If you don't give Path Finder all access, there will be folders that it can't access and since this app is designed to manage your files, there is little reason to use it but restrict its access.

I'm glad that newer versions of macOS are bringing this topic up by exposing you to what the applications you use are accessing. Since, these apps have been around for a while and in the past were inherently given access to the entire system by virtue of being installed by you. Now, you have better control on what they access.

Hi Ann:

I use Path Finder as my primary file manager and yes, as Ashwin stated, it should have full access. It's a great app with many features.
