HiI

If I use 'save archive' when using my Mac in the native Calendar app, does it actually backup my iCloud calendars / contacts locally to my Mac? I know 'archive' creates one big file of all calendars and contacts in one. I don't use calendars in the 'On my Mac' section, only iCloud.

If not, does anyone know of a way to do it. I have 10 calendars and exporting each one separately for security is a real pain!

Thanks in hope....

Threads merged - Do not post the same question in multiple forums. If you don't receive any immediate responses, then you should look to do more research and add information for others to go on.

Also, for things that people don't do normally, there isn't going to be much help provided.

Did you actually try to do the archive and see what you get? On my Mojave machine I have a number of Calendars and when I do File->Export->Calendar Archive.. I get a backup of all of my calendars and reminders (I assume this is different than the Reminders app data).

Sorry for posting in two sections, wanted some quick help and didn't know not allowed!
Surprised to hear backing up cloud data is something people don't usually do, I would have thought it essential, knowing the buggy nature of iCloud?
How did you read the created archive? I did not want to import it into Calendar in case it had not worked OK!
Cheers...

I looked at the archive created and saw that there were multiple folders created each with its own Info.plist file which says the calendar name in it and so on.
