I have been using/playing with ms access for a while. I am by far no programmer but enjoy using it for home stuff like audio collection. Anyone using something similar on their mac, again this is not being used for work some fun home stuff.

I came across this a couple of months ago, but have not tried it, https://giowck.github.io/symphytum/.

    There are also these, https://alternativeto.net/software/microsoft-access/

Just tried https://giowck.github.io/symphytum/ under win and it won't import access file, it will import a csv file only. I like what I see about the apimac but will only run under mac and haven't gotten one yet. But it appears there are some good replacements.

In your original post you asked if anyone was running a database on their Mac, thus I provided Mac apps (didn't check to see if they were Mac only though)

There are a lot of database programs for the Macintosh. Both high-end and low-end. I can give you a long list of all of them if you like. However, there is one program that is sort of in the middle that a lot of Mac users have really liked recently. It's:

    TapForms ($50)
Tap Forms - Organizer Database App for Mac, iPhone, and iPad

I don't know if it can import Access data. But moving data from one database format to another isn't a big deal. It's usually just a matter of matching up delimiters. What is a big deal is re-creating the forms that you created for your data. They will likely have to be re-created by hand.

    Have a look at these:

    MDB / ACCDB Viewer
Open Microsoft Access Databases on your Mac (allows you to export your Access database to just about any other database)

    DataDino

converts databases from one format to another

Randy, Thanks for all the info. Will check out all what you sent me. Not looking to get into to high end for the few things I use access for, just enjoyed learning to do it.
