It has been like this for a long time. When Replying to an email Apple Mail adds: "On Oct 26, 2018, at 5:40 AM, Bobby K <***********@******> wrote:"
For years I have used an app called QuoteFix, found on GitHub. Of course, with the release of Mojave and Mail 12, QuoteFix no longer works and the developer has not updated it.
I know, I know, you're thinking what's the big deal? Why stress because Mail adds that stupid "On Oct 25,2018 blah, blah"?
But I have never seen the value of it. All of my emails in my Inbox are dated and all of my Sent and Receives are dated.
I wish Apple would take it out of Mail or someone else work come up with a way to remove it.

A few of those are from the earlier days of Email and might be part of some people's expectation of how the email is being sent. However, if Mail doesn't inherently allow you to unset that feature, you might want to explore other Email clients. I used Spark for a little while and it's quite good and free. Another popular one is Airmail for $10 on the App Store. Don't force yourself to use an application that doesn't fully work the way you want it to.--

I don’t see that, when I reply to an email? Which email provider are you using, or does it happen with all email providers? I tried with gmail in Mail using macOS Mojave.-- Bob --
Please backup. Everything has a life cycle, unexpected and warning free. Nothing will last as long as you want it to.
