I have recenty updated my Office 2016 to version 16.16.3 (181015). Now the Software takes an age to open, if at all, and attachments to email take even longer to open!

I have also lost a whole raft of mailboxes, but not all of them! Are the two isues connected?

I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro running MacOs Mojave Vers 10.14

I am running the same on my 2017 MB Pro. I am not seeing any slowdowns or issues. I do have a suggestion - download and run Onyx. Be sure to download the correct one for Mojave. It is free and highly recommended on the forum. Install it and run the maintenance selection default. This will clean up a lot of "stuff" then see if Office runs any better.

As for the mailboxes I have no idea what could be going on. Are you using Apple Mail or Outlook? If you are not using outlook I doubt the Office update caused any loss of mail boxes.

Even better update to version 16.18 as you are well behind.

Works very smoothly with Mojave.

I just checked my Office 2016 version and it says 16.16.3 with no new updates available. Maybe you are ahead of me, Harry - being in Australia and me in the U.S.?

And I think as long as 2016 works I won't be upgrading - I just finished making payments on 2016!!!! (Just kidding ;D )

That is my Australian Shepard Katie. She is turning into a really great pet. She is very smart and the easiest dog I have ever trained. Still a puppy and full of energy so taking her picture is like trying to hit a moving target! ;)

I trust you have some acreage and some things to help keep her busy. I'd say a bundle of energy would be a bit of an understatement, but nice dogs and can be great companions.

I live on a farm with a big fence yard so she has plenty to do. We also have a Burgle (bird dog beagle) and they play together constantly. She turns into a well mannered lady when I put her leash on her and she behaves well in the car and out in public. I have been socializing her and she has done excellent. This is my first time to have one of this breed and she is proving to be very smart.

No thank you. LOL The only reason I bought Microsoft Office 2016 was because I was new to the Mac two years ago and I had to transfer documents from my PC to the Mac. Last year Microsoft Office had an update that screwed up Microsoft Word and Pages on my Mac. I had to wait for a new update from Microsoft to fix the problem and had to do a new install of Pages. Microsoft is a PITA for updating and launching Word or Excel, takes too much time. I'm transferring all my Microsoft Word and Excel documents to Pages and Numbers before updating to Mojave. I'm keeping Microsoft off the Mac. ;)

I recommend that you ask on the Microsoft Office support forums, where Microsoft MVP's will help you for free:

Apparently, it does. I'm basing this on comments made by several people in other Threads.

macOS Mojave is likely the last OS to work with the 2011 version because it is 32bit.

We have one user here for whom Outlook won't send or receive under Mojave, too.

Does Office 2011 play nice with Mojave?

Yes. At least on my system it does. I only use Word and Powerpoint so I can not say for sure that Outlook and Excel work without problems. However, Office 2011 apps will cease to function when the next version of macOS goes public. We've discussed alternatives to Office if folks do not want to invest in O365, Office 2016 or the new Office 2019. My take on it is if you do not need to exchange documents with others for business or otherwise, you can not beat the free Apple apps - Pages, Keynote, and Numbers.
