Office 365 launch times in Mojave

I have Office 365 installed and have just updated to Mojave having previously had High Sierra.

When I open either Word or Excel they both take around 20 seconds to launch. If I then close them without quitting they launch immediately but if I quit them fully I'm back to a 20 second launch again. This isn't the case with Outlook or One Drive but Power Point and One Note take even longer!! All other non-Microsoft apps on my machine launch as they should.

Anybody else have this problem or got any ideas on solutions?

I have a MBP 15" Mid-2015 with Office 365 and Mojave. Word starts from cold in about 2 seconds. Excel takes 3 seconds, as does Powerpoint. I don't use Outlook or One Drive.

Maybe reinstall them?

EDIT: I do have an SSD drive, so if you are loading from a spinner, it may be longer for you just because of that.

I have submitted a request to Microsoft but it might be a while before they get back so I might give your suggestion a try.

I don't think it's anything to do with my Fusion drive as it was fine with High Sierra.

Cracked it!! I joined the Microsoft Insider Program which gave me access to the next Office updates. Updated and cut the launchtimes dramatically.

Good show. Thanks for reporting back. By the way, ever since I installed Mojave everthing is faster except me. Same old body. ;D

Yup! The brain of an 18yr old and a body of a 70+. The brain gives commands that the body can't execute.

I suspect the reinstall fixed the problem, but it's nice to be updated, so that's a good solution.

First open after upgrade was slow, after that back to normal. Par for the course as is registration to most sites.
