They are going to discontinue Microsoft Outlook at my job and replace it with something else. Is there any way for me to save all of my e-mails from Outlook? If this were possible, what app. would I need to read the emails. I do not have Outlook on my personal computer.

Thanks. :)

You can export all of your mail out of Outlook into an archive file using these instructions. The issue is that it will be the OLM format that only Outlook knows/cares about. So depending on which service your company is switching to, you might not be able to import them.

I would contend that your company can't decide to discontinue the use of Outlook until they've told everyone what the new service is and how to migrate all the current data into the new system. They cannot leave this up to each end user!

Can you forward them to another email account?

I am looking for the e-mail that mentioned the name of the new service.

I was trying to avoid having to hand-select and individually forward each e-mail, but it may come to that.

For the record, Outlook is the most hateful app. I have ever had to use. Someone should drive a wooden stake through its vile heart.

Hopefully its O365 from the on-premises Exchange server. :) That's your best case scenario, migration would be easy and supported by MS. If any other service, then it's just a pain in the tuckus.

Bring back Lotus Notes! :p

I remember the day at our agency when they decided to switch from Lotus Notes to Outlook. That's called devolution. ;)

Hear! Hear! In a previous life I went on every Lotus Notes Administrator and Development course going. Spent over a year working on a multilingual R&D Database to be installed worldwide. Then a new IT Director was appointed who wanted nothing to do with Lotus products (I was something of a Lotus 1-2-3 guru then too) and banished them from the company, so I ended up being 50 years old with skills no-one wanted.

Beautiful and very descriptive word — devolution!!! And appropriate. clap.gif

It's actually in my dictionary I thought a bit surprising.
