In Facebook there are two options: "View previous comments" and "View more comments".
Clicking on these has stopped working on my iMac and my Macbook Pro. Does anyone have any idea how to get these working again, please?

Try using a different browser to access your account and see how things behave there.

I've noticed that several FB things that used to work fine have gone goofy within the last few weeks for me when using Safari 9.1.3 in Mavericks 10.9.5.

When trying Firefox 59.0.2 most things work as expected.

Nothing new, it happens all the time. I've gotten so disgusted with the way Facebook gathers comments that I now longer try to view them if they're more than a day old. Facebook has become a maze of "here and there" leading to "nowhere".

Thanks for that Patrick. I will certainly try Firefox.

I also tried doing the first four options of "Reset Safari" which seems to have helped. At least some added comments now show.

FF is OK and seems to work, but I prefer using Safari that has some extra small features I often use that FF is missing.

Regardless of browser, I tend to agree with chscag's comments above, but my language has often been much stronger and may even embarrass a senior Army Drill sergeant!!!

The best way of controlling facebook is to download FB Purity for your specific browser. It's free and works wonders on Mac OS (not iOS).

That sounds and look like just another browser plugin to modify one's FB page like the Social Fixer for Safari extension can do.

Unfortunately I don't think there's anything that can completely and consistently control the quirks and workings (or not) of Facebook.

Hadn't heard of that one but it looks similar.
