Running Adobe CS4 Suite on a new Mac

I want to upgrade to a new iMac. My older Mac is still running 10.6.8 because I have been using Adobe CS4 Suite for Photoshop to make items for a small at-home business.

I'd like to continue using Photoshop (and a few other applications - Dreamweaver, Acrobat, InDesign) without having to upgrade to the Adobe Cloud version.

Does anyone know if there is a way I can use my disc version of CS4 on a new Mac?

Thanks.

A brand new Mac will only be able to run the lastest Mac OS (or maybe the previous version at best). Which means OS 10.12 (Sierra) or 10.11 (El Capitan). According to our favorite website for app compatibility (roaringapps.com)...Adobe CS4 is supposed to be compatible with the latest Mac OS 10.12 (Sierra). But when I looked at each individual CS4 app...there seemed to be different compatibility info. I would suggest going to roaringapps.com...and checking out each CS4 app individually to be 100% sure.

Honestly...CS4 is pretty old (released 2008). 9 years is pretty long to still get compatibility with the latest Mac OS. The latest Mac OS is 10.12 (Sierra)...which is SIX OS versions newer than 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). I realize that the Adobe Creative Suite of apps is not cheap...but sooner or later you will need to upgrade.;)

HTH,

- Nick

p.s. Thread moved to better area. More of an app compatibility question than OS.:)
