Mac Term vs iTerm

iMac (27 inch, Late 2012), Processor: Core i5, Memory: 16GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 running MacOS Catalina
I've seen reviews and ads online for these two and wonder how they compare with the standard terminal. Looking at the reviews, they do have more features, somehow I am not seeing how these could be better in terms of actual functionality; especially when compared with the standard terminal app.

For the most part, I wanted to install TotalTerminal that slides down a terminal windows from the top at the press of a hotkey. But sadly TotalTerminal is not supported anymore. So if I want that option, I would have to go with one of these.

I'd say that if you can't see either of them as better for your needs, they probably aren't. In terms of CLI functionality, there will be no difference as they'll all be front ends for Bash so any added functionality will be purely cosmetic or something that adds some niceties.
