I don't have much time to game but sometimes I just want to play a quick game here and there. I do have a few games on my iMac and they run quite well. What I currently have is:

1. Minecraft
2. World of Warcraft
3. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
4. Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3
5. Bioshock

Now these all play nicely but I was wondering what else I should try that runs great on my hardware. Any suggestions?

If you are referring to the iMac in your sig, then I would think most non-hardcore games should be fine. I only have an Intel HD 4000 and I have run Trine, Braid, Bioshock, Cave Story, Fate, Otto Matic, Plants v. Zombies, Osmos, SuperMeatBoy, and Torchlight, among others.

I also have some various similar games (mostly dungeon crawlers) on Steam, including Broforce. I'm a rather occasional and casual gamer, so I wouldn't have any idea of the frame rates or rez settings I'm able to achieve, or how the Intel HD 4000 chipset compares to your discreen Radeon 2600 Pro, but I should think you'd be able to play most of the games I just listed.

I have had good luck on my late 2007 with same video hardware as you have and C2D CPU with:

Grand Theft Auto Vice City, San Andreas, and GTA III. All played dead smooth. GTA 4 though would be way to much for that HD2600. I know, I have tried it.

Not sure if you are into GTA at all but the ones I listed work great.

I am mostly into First Person Shooters with complex plots and good story lines. I know that the Marathon trilogy will run as well as Halo, Doom and Quake although the last three will require purchase of a DVD installer, try eBay. You will also find Prey in the App Store should run just check the specifications.

If you have PrBoom or PrBoom Plus, you can load all your old Wads from Doom Dos and Quake Dos and play them in full screen on your Mac. Works great but you do need to use a mouse rather than a trackpad. There are several Doom sites still in operation on the web where you can freely download new Wads for Quake and Doom.
