I'm currently using Handbrake to transcode AVIs to a iPhone/AppleTV format, however having to manually add each AVI one-by-one is driving me crazy.

Anything alternative software (commercial or free) that will let me do the same thing with the ability to add multiple files at the same time?

Video Monkey seems ok but I don't really like the lack of customization. One thing I like about HB is the ability to build my own presets to get the quality I am looking for and tweak performance to suit me. That's just me though. For those who just want to convert video, regardless of quality etc, then this might work well.

I agree, Handbrake is by far my favorite application for converting video files. The OP said that he wants something other than Handbrake though...
