How long does it take the battery to charge?

My iPod's battery was getting low (it was in the red) so I charged it up while I was listening to some songs. I was on the computer for about a half an hour or so and I looked at it and it was fully charged. I thought it took around 3 hours for it to charge. I just got it on Tuesday.

A full charge takes 4 hours.. keep in mind an iPod's battery indicator is approximate. meaning dont put much faith in the little indicator at the top left.

for basic charging, i just charge mine for 1 hour.
