ok every one... i need help because my a cappella group is recording a cd and we are using itunes to touch up our music... 1. my first question is there any free recording and music editing program out there for mac?

2. what do the numbers on the different "knobs" on the equalizer mean/do?
(32, 64, 125, 250, 500, 1k, 2k,4k, 8k, 16k) an explanation of their function would be great!

3. how do i assign different equalizer preset's for when different songs play without having to manually change it my self?

advice and ancwers would be greatly appriciated!
may the forums do their magic!
thank you :)

I only know the answer to #1 and it's Garageband, if you have mac you should have it already. I write/record music and it's amazingly good for being standard.
