A sort of transparent shadow is appearing intermittently at the bottom of the screen on my iPhone 7 running iOS 13.3. I've had it just over two years.

It mirrors the top line - signal, provider, wifi symbol, time and battery details. It can be on the lock screen, home screen or any page, shimmering away. Tried to take a photo/video with PhotoBooth but no success.

Any idea what it is and how to get rid? I have restarted.

If the screenshot is clear, then the problem is likely with the LCD itself. Something that Apple should be able to repair or replace under their warranty. I suspect rather than repair it, they will give you a new refurbished phone instead.

If it's no longer under warranty, you might be able to get it repaired by an iPhone repair shop. I have no idea how much it would cost to replace the screen (if that's the problem) but if it's too expensive you might want to consider buying another phone. The iPhone 8 is about the same size as the 7 and is not as expensive as some of the newer phones. The Apple refurbished store is a good place to shop for a new phone if you decide to go that route.

Thanks. This is a replacement screen fitted about eight months ago but no problems until now. It's not sufficiently intrusive to warrant a new phone.
