Hello, I have had some strange charging issues since updated the software to the latest iOS 13 release.
The battery will actually drain on charge with the battery symbol showing green with a lightning bolt.
I tried various charging cables thinking it was a faulty cable, but mu iPad will charge normally from the same cables. Also charging port is clean.
Battery health is 88%. Charging history shows a heavy hatch and a lighting bolt for around 5% charge then a finer hatch and a battery drain.
I randomly tried turning off Location Services whilst charging and it behaves normally, charging to 100%.
I can recreate the fault by turning Location Services back on during charging and weird behaviour starts again.
I find it a pain to turn this service off and on just to charge.
Anyone else have come across this issue?

I also have that issue with my 1st gen 12" iPad Pro. Certain cables or power bricks don't supply the proper power. It is an older device, so I just make do with what I have.

I suspect a software issue as previous releases of 13 worked well, my battery life almost doubled compared to 12. The next update may well resolve the issue for me. Curiously, looking back on the battery history graph, turning off Location Services seems to cancel out Optimising Battery Charging.

I suspect a software issue as previous releases of 13 worked well,

You might want to report your findings back to Apple at their feedback site.

That sounds almost like a bug, but maybe also unique to your 6s and the iOS version.

Updated to 13.3 and I can now charge properly with Location Services on. Battery was at 100% when I left for work this morning and at mid-day it's showing 96%.

Thanks for your feedback and experiences, your comments and the charging problems where one of the main reasons I was holding off upgrading my wife's 6s.

I'm still not sure if I will or if there's any actual reason to do so as it's working fine the way it is.
