I found with the last iPhone update that when I am texting somebody and go back and edit a word or insert a comma part of my text is duplicated below the original one. I'm not doing a copy paste I'm not doing a cut paste. So now I have to be extra diligent when I am creating a text that doesn't duplicate itself. Pain in the butt! Has anybody else had this problem

You are not editing the original text, it was already sent. When you send a new "fixed" text, it is a totally separate text. There is no such thing as cut&paste with this. Other services like WhatsApp, Slack and so on allow you to edit a previously sent messages, but that is not how text messages work.

Oh sorry, I mis-read your post. That is very odd and shouldn't be happening. Especially if you are seeing the original, un-edited version and the edited version both going out. With texting, I've just gotten to be too lazy and just "fix" the mistakes in subsequent texts. :)
