Thread: xXR Missed Call Alert
12-06-2018, 01:04 AM #16Most ex Android users especially miss that feature. I personally think the flashing LED would be great to have but for some reason Apple has not implemented it for any version of iOS.
At least they've finally stopped their glib excuse they used to use so often that some feature wasn't implemented was because Steve Jobs didn't like some so and so feature!! That got lame ages ago.

12-06-2018, 01:13 AM #18chscag working around fighter jets for so many years has put a toll on my hearing even with hearing aids. No big deal that I have to hit or pick up the phone.
As a hearing aid using senior, even though I don't have or use an iPhone, I'm led to believe that a lot of the later hearing aid models (at least some of the Resound models) have various connections available that allows iPhone features to register with matched hearing aids. ie Rings etc., just in case that could help your situation.
Maybe these could help:

chscag, thankfully the VA is taking care of me after spending 4 yrs in the Navy and 17+ working in the Air Guard (Air Force) and retiring with 2 Honorable discharges.
Patrick, thank you my Canadian friend. Just downloaded HA app on phone and paired them to phone, very cool. On a side note originally from Buffalo, NY and have spent much time in Ontario in town of Simcoe (by Port Dover) with wives relatives and she still has Mom up there and they also live in Port Alberny (pardon spelling) before moving back to Ontario. She still has relatives I believe on Vancouver Island, she has been there and say's it is the most beautiful place she has ever been and wants to take me there someday.Kenny

Maybe I'm missing something here, but when I have a missed call a red number appears on the phone icon. Since that sits on the dock, it's pretty obvious. And it doesn't go away until I look at the history to see the missed call. It doesn't flash, and it's not visible if the screen is dark, but it's right there on the home screen.Jake

Jake, my phone goes black sitting so with picking it up or taping the screen there isn’t any indication of a missed call. I do have an indication whenI either pick up the phone and the green phone icon will have a number of missed calls.Kenny

There is a setting in Notification, to turn off notifications on the lock screes. If you are not seeing ANY notifications from any apps, this is most likely the issue. Go into Settings > Notifications > Show Previews, select "Always". If that is already selected, the check Settings > Notifications > Phone or any other app you want to display on the lock screen.
Or, if that doesn't help, you may have to Reset All Settings in Settings > General > Reset.-- Bob --
Please backup. Everything has a life cycle, unexpected and warning free. Nothing will last as long as you want it to.

Bob, after looking into a suggestion made by Patrick that I should check to see if there is a iPhone app for my HA and they did. So now when my phone rings it rings in my ear so all so good.Kenny

I'm glad to read that it's all working well for you Kenny, and that both devices were compatible. Not all are.
