iMac 27 Retina 3.4, 16gb Catalina 10.15.3, iPhone XR, iPad 9.7
For some reason the message icon on my iphone shows 2 but I deleted them. Any ideas on what setting I may have on to do this?

I received a group text with two recipient while trying to reply to the first I guess a reply came in too but I was unable for some reason to send my reply when I hit the reply arrow. So I deleted them but the icon still showed 2. Now one of them came back and I opened it them deleted and now the message icon is clear. All good.
