My phone is my diary, upcoming events etc. and when I enter a new event into the Calendar I set an alert at "1 hour before" as well as the default 30 minutes before, but when those times come up, I don't get an audible alert any more.

Where is the ON/OFF switch for this audio alert? I've been through settings but nothing has changed as far as I can see.

Very annoying, I missed a very important appointment today! ?

You didn't mention which iOS version you are running, but they should be in your Settings which I gather you have already checked.

If they are set correctly, maybe check that you haven't enabled the "Do Not Disturb!" option, or set the volume level to very low, and I believe some iPhone models have a mute switch on the side you might want to check.

Just chatted to Apple and seems it could be an "issue" with the update.
Did a hard reset and then reset all "settings"

In case anybody else has this issue, got to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All

You will then have to re enter all your ringtones, sounds, wallpaper, everything "personal" on the phone.

Oh heck, or worse! What a drag. Really sorry you had this problem. And it takes ages to restore everything.

That does seem a bit drastic around is this another Apple iOS update install screwup????

I was trying to suggest something a bit less drastic earlier but it seems that mac-forums was off-line for a while. Now that it's back online, I can even use the "restore autosave content" or use the copied text toothpaste in that doesn't work.

Anyway, glad to read the problem is solved even if somewhat drastic and nice to see mac-forums seems to be back online.
