Thanks Patrick for tow links but I couldn't make it work

You haven't supplied much in the way of details or how or what you've been using or doing.
I don't know what extra info do I need to provide
Below are photos in "Google Photos" selected and when I click on the bin icon at the top of the screenshot supposed to be deleted from "Google Photos" right ? they won't get deleted ? I don't why ?
Please be aware that those photos in the snapshot already been deleted from my iPhone storage (i.e iPhone Photos app)

I'm not about to experiment and test with mine, so I'd suggest doing some googling on your photos problem.

Sorry, I can't help further.

Are your Google Photos backed up to iCloud?

I ask this question partly because I don't use Google Photos, but also because on my iPhone X, everything seems to be backed up to iCloud.

If you even think that your Google Photos might be in iCloud, there is a way of selectively Deleting iCloud Backups and to help you with the process involved, have a read of this article, follow the easily laid out instructions and see if that works.

Please post back.

Sorry about that. Worth a try.

You might have a look at this Google Support article where it appears that you can delete your photos from their web-based Cloud: https://support.google.com/photos/answer/6128858?co=GENIE.Platform=Desktop&hl=en

I've also included an article about deleting from your iPhone X; but I'll bet you've tried that already:)

The point that impressed me when I read it is that you have to hard-press the photos you want to delete rather than just tap to select.

Anyway here it is: https://www.quora.com/I-would-like-...photos-afresh-from-my-phone-How-can-I-do-that

Extensive googling done already
Thanks for trying to help

Well, I guess not being able to delete some photos is a lot better than those pleads posted by others as to how to recover some critical photos from some place.

And, at least Google gives a user 15GB so having some extras "(around 30 photos)" as you say shouldn't make a big savings or difference. Or are they some sort of incriminating type photos??? :Smirk:

PS: As IAN posted:

I don't have or use a iPhone X, but I do find I often have to almost smash my iOS's screen with a good stylus for it to make a certain selection or action. It can sometimes be like needing to use a small sledgehammer. But I'm sure you can see and tell what's supposed to be happening, but isn't.

EDIT:
Just a thought…

Does Google Photos have some sort of sharing on some photos that could be preventing any deletion??

Could you not delete them from your Google Photos account using your Mac or PC if you have one???

I don't really know, but may be it takes a few days for them to get deleted or at least updated in what the iPhone accesses and displays.

Is there some sort of delayed deleting safety feature at work as well perhaps??
