Hi,

Recently I receive the following error message in safari on my iphone 6S, ios: 9.3: "safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding": none of the websites are working, instagram, facebook etc., so it's like I do not have internet access, although there are multiple apple devices connected to the same wi-fi network and those devices loading sites perfectly, so the internet connection is good. I'm getting this error message a few times in a week, quite unexpectedly. If I turn on and off the wi-fi, or resetting network settings, clearing cache and website history the internet is back. But it is really annoying that I get that error message and have to do the mentioned steps to get internet back on my phone. When I get the safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding message I tried to switch to another browser, like chrome, but it is not working either.

Does anyone has any idea how to avoid that message in the future?

Thank you.

Those are connection problems with your iPhone. If other devices have no problem making a connection from the same WiFi network, then it's your iPhone that's having problems. Take your iPhone to another WiFi hot spot such as Starbucks, Panera, McDonalds, etc, and see if you're getting a good connection from there.

I am able to use my network, but after a while I got that error message. Sometimes it works fine for days and after stop working until i switch the wi-fi toggle on and off, then it will be perfect again. But when my iPhone stop connecting to the internet the other devices in the household still able to use the same network, while I'm having an issue. For example, right now. It is perfect, but who know when I'll get that server stopped respinding message. It is really unexpected.

Unless you test your phone on another network you're not going to know.

Unless you test your phone on another network you're not going to know.

I tried at the gym, and it stopped working as well, got the same message. Although, This is my second iPhone 6S. The previous one has the same problem as well and some additional issues, so they replaced it. Now I'm experiencing the same safari issue with this one too. SO I'm not sure the problem is with the phone itself or the network, but if it's the network's problem, other devices should not be working fine while mine is having some problems.

It does sound like a problem with the phone, however, two phones with the same problem is unusual but I guess it can happen. I would take it back to Apple and let them run tests on it to see if there is a defect within the phone. Generally though if your other devices are working OK on the same network, then fault is with the phone.

Solution 1: Disable JavaScript in Safari
Settings > Safari > Advanced > Tap on JavaScript to turn it off.
This solution will allow links to work in Safari again, but the JavaScript function is not available any more in your browser. And this only works for Safari, Mail and Messages are not included.

Solution 2: Force reboot your iPhone iPad.
Hold down the Power button and Home button until the Apple logo appears to force reboot your iDevice, this also may help you get out.

Solution 3: Clearing the history and Cache of Safari.
Steps to remove caches and history from Safari on your iPhone iPad: Go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data.

Solution 4: Change Search Engine from Google to Bing
Some people say changing use Bing to search is worked for them. You can try to change the search engine of your iPhone iPad’s Safari with steps below:
Go to Settings > Safari > Search Engine > Select Bing (the fault selection is Google).
