My wife has a 5S iPhone. There is something amiss with iMessages from my daughter. If I send my wife an iMessage her phone chimes and a banner shows on the phone. If anyone else sends her a txt or iMessage her phone works correctly but if
my daughter sends her an iMessage, no chime, no banner but a 1 will show on the message icon. I tried reset. Nope same problem. I tried deleting my daughter from the contact list and had her send another message (AT&T suggestion) Doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas. I will try just about anything. Thanks

I think the issue is with your daughter's phone. You don't say if hers is an iPhone or not. If so which model and which iOS is it running? Is iMessage switched on in her phone? Is she logged into iCloud services? Does she use the same network provider as your wife?

Thanks for your questions. My daughter's phone is an iPhone 5S. She has updated to the latest iOS 8.4.1. iMessage is switched on on her phone. I don't know about iCloud. But any iMessages that my daughter sends to me or anyone else are working correctly. Any iMessages (or txts for that matter) that my wife sends are working correctly. Both my wife, my daughter and I use AT&T. I called AT&T and they cannot help. They just did the usual reset or reboot and that did nothing to change the problem. Any iMessage or txt that my wife gets from anyone other than my daughter works correctly. All phone calls work correctly whether answered or unanswered. Hope those answers might help you in helping me. I am totally stumped. Thanks

Thanks for your comprehensive reply to all my questions. Now I'm stumped as well.
One more thing, does your daughter have her own Apple ID? If so is she logged into iCloud on her phone?

Dumb me. the don't not disturb button was activated in my daughters profile on my wife's phone. Yep, that feature works just fine. Thanks for your help.

Ahh, that's a relief I really was running out of ideas, sometimes it really helps if you can see the phone but, easy answer in the end. Well done working that one out.:Blushing:
