New backup question

I recently bought a new MacBook Pro. I had a PC prior to this. with my iPhone, can i just plug it into the Mac and will it back up everything on it? i already transferred my music, but i am more just worried about my photos. will i have to manually go into my PC and find the backup files? (if so how would i do that?)

If the iPhone was previous synced with the PC, then you'll need to backup and transfer the data from the PC to the Mac before plugging the iPhone into the Mac, otherwise everything on the iPhone will be erased.

You probably should have used the Windows Migration Assistant to bring your data over, perhaps you can still do that.
