I wanted to use my old 3GS to listen to music, last time I used it was in June when the new iPhone came out. I charged it, deleted my email accounts, turned off network, push mail and only left wifi on. When I got home today the battery was dead, before it would last 2 days, I just charged it and didnt use it at all. I am wondering if apple can replace the battery if I have the extended warranty?

Yes... I've had that problem before... I used to turn my iphone on at about 9am and by 2pm the battery was down to 8%... I figured out that if you have a lot of apps running in the background (multitasking) then that drains the battery. :\

Click the Home Button (round button on the lower front of the phone) twice in succession.

That will bring up the Multi Tasking Panel at the bottom of the screen.

To shut off some of the apps, touch and hold one of the application icons and they will start to wiggle and will have a red minus sign beside them. Touch the red minus icon to delete the stop the app from multitasking. Don't worry this only stops it temporarily, if you use the app again it will be in the Multi tasking Panel again.
