Hi guys,

I'm frustrated. Bought a Sony Ericsson HBH-DS205, and can't get it to work properly with my iPhone. It does play music, and I think it answers calls (haven't tried as I'm overseas), but it CANNOT change songs.... and that's a function the headset is able to do; it's an iPhone problem I guess.

Tried it also with Macbook, and it works to play music, but very buggy in a sense.

I'm wondering whether the Motorola S9 would be any better? Been wanting a convenient bluetooth stereo headset for ages, and with iPhone's 3.0 software I was hoping this problem would finally be solved...

Any suggestions anyone?

To any experts on the subject reading this thread, I would like to expand and ask for general suggestions on iPhone compatible wireless headphones. I love the idea of cutting out another cord and I have little idea as to where to start.

Blue Ant V1

All,

I made the transition from BB to the iPhone yesterday. Everything set up fine and I'm happy with the phone except for 1 thing. I'm not able to get the BlueAnt V1 to connect to the iPhone. This worked perfectly on my BB and I have grown quite dependent on my headset. I have Bluetooth on and I can see the phone searching. Meanwhile, my BlueAnt is telling me to go to the "options" and dial in 0000. I can't seem to find the "options" menu on the iPhone. Any help would be great

Thanks,
Ron Scott

That's it exactly. The iPhone Bluetooth profile doesn't support track switching. Play/Pause is all you get

In the Bluetooth page just tap the detected device. If it's requesting a key the iPhone will prompt you at this point.

I tried my Lubix Bluetooth Stereo headset on an iPhone 3GS the other day and experience the same thing - stereo music good, pause/play okay, but won't change tracks Forward/Backwards. In most of the forums I've read, people are experiencing the same thing - so it's not the headset. Some claim that Apple is aware of the issue and considers the track changing problem a bug.
