I am trying to setup a new iPad Mini. I used the option to restore from another device, which has worked apart from one thing.

It requires that I enter all my email passwords. However, before I can do so it pops up a prompt for each of the others.

How can I make it stop interrupting the password entry with the other prompts please? No matter what I do it just keeps repeating the same prompts. All of them fail because I can’t complete an entry without having it interrupted.

I thought of trying to disable the accounts and then deal with each one in turn. However, it seems to be a catch-22, it doesn’t allow the account to be disabled until I have entered the password.

Solved, I think.

For some reason eventually it stopped prompting, which allowed me to enter the details.

Another issue - it seems I deleted the Wallet app from my large iPad Pro as it is too cumbersome to use for payments in that way. Having restored from that onto my iPad mini, it seems to have deleted the app from that as well.

There seems to be no way to restore that app. Tried searching on the Store App and it does not find the Wallet app.

Is there any way to get that back please?

May I suggest that on your Home Screen, you swipe down till the Search bar appears and then enter "Wallet".

I say this because I think it may be "hidden" rather than deleted.

My researches on the Apple Support and other sites seem to be in unison in stating that one cannot delete this app. The consensus is that it's there somewhere.

Please give this a try and post back.

Tried that. It doesn’t find it.

Oddly enough, my iPhone and iPod Touch have the wallet, but neither of my iPads have it. Not sure if that is due to having deleted it or because the iPad doesn’t have that option. This seems unlikely as all devices have the Apple Pay option in Settings.

What iOS?

Have you searched for it?

I can't delete it from my iPhone 6 on iOS 12.4.3 and my iPad Pro on iPadOS doesn't have it.

No hidden purchases found.

The new device is an iPad mini (5th Generation), model number MUQW2B/A, running 13.2.3

Isn’t that odd?

Settings has a place to add credit cards but no Wallet app.

I suppose there is still the option to buy online. It would look a little odd trying to use an iPad on the payment device at point of sale :)

Incidentally it seems I may have been misinformed.

I understood that all iPads now use a pencil. Also, it said in the description of the device I bought in Argos that it works with a pencil.

However there is no mention in Settings of the pencil as there is on my iPad Pro. So it seems I have been sold one that doesn’t work with a pencil.

Lucky I didn’t buy the pencil as well :)

Problem solved. I bought a pencil mark 1.

Wasn’t sure how to connect it. However, it has a Lightning connector on the end so I plugged it into the socket on the iPad and it prompted to pair. I accepted that and it works fine.

Also fitted the screen protector successfully.

Happy now :)
