Garageband For iPad ???

Hi,

I have an IPad 3rd generation, iOS version 9.3.5, i want to install Garageband.. the latest version is not compatible.. can i install a previous version?

If you can find an older iOS version of Garageband that is compatible with iOS 9.3.5, then yes. However, Apple has made it very difficult to obtain older versions of iOS and macOS apps. And any download of an Apple app that is from other than Apple would be risky and likely pirated.

You might want to consider getting a newer iPad. You don't need the latest model, just one that can support the current version of Garageband for iOS.

Did you download it when the previous version was available? If you did, then it should offer to install the older version.

It looks like the newest GarageBand for iOS, requires iOS/iPadOS 13.

See here, GarageBand on the App Store, and here, iPadOS - Apple. At the bottom of the iPadOS page, there is a list of compatible product, although all features may not be available on all devices.
