Please backup. Everything has a life cycle, unexpected and warning free. Nothing will last as long as you want it to.

    Hi Bob,

I have and do not see anything helpful. I'm looking at the Safari choices in Settings right now and do not see anything.

What iOS version? Do you have the iCloud option in Settings? It should sync if Safari is selected.

    Hi Mark

On any iDevice, Go into Settings - from here it depends on your version of iOS:

but if it's iOS 11.x - Tap on your name at the top, then tap on iCloud and under APPS USING ICLOUD, scroll down till you see Safari and turn it on.

It is, naturally, essential that on your Mac, you have Safari as one of the apps to be synced via iCloud. On your Mac, it's System Preferences > iCloud and on the list presented for syncing, make sure Safari is checked.

That was it! Somehow the Safari setting was turned off in iCloud on my iPad and the favorites just disappeared. Do not know how that happened. The gremlins are at it again. Thanks to all.
