I am looking for a wireless printer that I can use with my iPad Air and iPhone 5s. I like the colorjet 100 for the size and it also runs on a battery so I could use it in the car. However I have heard that apple products will not work with this printer. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hello & welcome to the forum! :) You'll need a printer that is AirPrint compatible - check this Apple Support Article for a list of brands and models that offer this wireless technology. Dave :)

Alternatively, you can connect the printer to a Mac or PC and use an app to print to it (the app basically sends the print job to the computer, which then sends to the printer for "wireless" printing).

We have two printers, a Canon Ink Jet that has AirPrint built in so our iPads can easily print wirelessly, however, the other printer is an older Brother Laser w/o Air Print - I've installed the app Print n Share (click if interested), a $5 purchase from the app store - also, downloaded a free app from their website to put on our iMac (both printers are connected to that computer via USB) - so, we can also print to the laser one from our iDevices. There are other options - Dave :)

I believe member chas_m is referring to "Printopia" which allows all iOS devices to print wirelessly to your printers. It's a bit pricey at $19.95 though. The app that Dave referred to is probably a better choice.

If you have a Costco membership go buy the Cannon they have there for 79 bucks. They usually have 3 models there but i have bought the 79 dollar one for a few people including myself and its awesome. All cannons at Costco can do what you want.

Just my two cents
