Since iOS 13.3 I note there is a Subject line above the message body dialogue box. Does that subject get transmitted to older iOS versions and other platforms or is it limited to iOS 13.3 iMessages only?

Can you send a screenshot of this? I don't see it on my updated iPhone.

There is an option to display subject field, in Settings > Messages.

Ah, yes, I see that setting now and of course mine is “on.” I don’t recall turning it on so is it on by default? It’s on with my wife’s XR too. Either way who gets it is the question? Hard for me to check here as I don’t know anybody not running the current iOS.

I will send a screen shot when I can get to my laptop. Is there a way to resize screen shots on the iPhone? Never have worked out a way.

Thanks for pointing that out Rod. I guess I've been overlooking that option. A subject line is especially handy when sending a text message to someone for the first time.

Sorry about the screen shot. It came out on my MBP but looks broken on the M-Forums iOS app.
Thanks Chas, I use this subject line a lot now but I’m not sure if everyone gets it. I don’t have any close friends in Melbourne with Android phones.
