I suppose I should be grateful I'm not having the same Mac forums auto login problems that a few of our members are having at the moment that seems to have gone away for me at least with Firefox but I'm having continued issues with the M-Forums iOS app.

This is what I am regularly striking;

My advice to everyone is do not attempt to login or you will encounter the second shot below. Despite the login details being already filled and correct you like me will be locked out for the 15min and apparently the failed attempts are just the one.
Better I have found to quit the app at the first screen and come back later.
Its annoying because my iOS browser defaults to the app from email links and it is sooo much better than an iOS browser for replies.

No, I get that, perhaps it’s just the frequency of my use. Maybe any site I visit as much as this one would have similar issues. Then there’s the vaguery of the internet here in Bali. For example I received your reply notification on 3G via the iOS app and was able to sign in and now that I’m back on WiFi all is working as expected. I suppose I should consider myself lucky I have lots of alternatives.

I'm with Rod. I gave up on the app. I would put in the correct login information, it would respond that I was wrong and had exceeded my five tries and was now in the 15 minute timeout. Wait, repeat, same result. Eventually removed the app from the iPhone. Not ready for prime time.

For now, I don't visit the site on anything mobile. Just my MBP.

The App works okay for me on my iPhone but the screen size is too small to suit me. However, on my iPad where the screen (10.5") is larger it's much easier to use. We have to keep in mind that the app is based on TapaTalk which is open source mobile software and has been adapted for our forums.

Yep, I have not given up on it, I'm using it right now and when it works especially on the iPad it's great. It displays screen shots really well and I love the way it opens links for the RSS feed and others. My comments were of a conversational nature in case others had similar issues and maybe had found a solution. I will keep using it when it works and when it doesn't, well, I'll use something else and revisit it later. Sometimes I have to accept that not everything is fixable (by me).
