Is there an easy way to transfer the fonts I have on my MacBook Pro to the iPad Pro? In the past I copied them to iCloud and downloaded them to the iPad using AnyFont which is a slow pain...

Thanks,
chris

Thanks, I do this so infrequently that I forget and have to re-invent the wheel each time...

Did you find or re-discover any method that's better than what you had been doing???

The All Fonts.app I gather that you mentioned seems to get mentioned numerous times as one as of the better ways. I would have thought Apple had would have made things a little bit easier than they are, or is it that it just seems rather complicated to me???

I did come across a recent article that seems to make the process much easier and maybe quicker:

Invariably I use iCloud to make the transfer. I export the fonts from FontBook to the desktop on the MacBook Pro, then from there move them to a folder on iCloud and then use AnyFont to import to the iPad. It might be necessary to verify the font which is a whole other can of worms/clicks.
I agree with you, it seems Apple would have made sharing these fonts between devices much easier than it is. I will have to look at trying iTunes when the device is hooked up to the Mac. I seem to recall reading something about this for other apps, not sure about fonts though.

After I responded I opened the iPad and saw AnyFont had an update. After installing it I found it's easier to get the fonts into AnyFont now because they have direct access to iCloud. It's easy enough, just follow the prompts: go to settings, click, password, click, more clicks and yet more clicks...but it goes smoothly and I didn't have many to install. The update that connects to iCloud directly is a nice step, verifying the fonts is still a drawn out process.

Thanks for the info Chris, but you might want to check your AnyFontI for any more updates as it looks like they have had several for the last few days recently. I think I saw the last recent update version was v. 3.0.2.
