Not all photos/albums are being synced from my MBP to my iPhone.

Due to space on the iPhone, I'm only syncing selected Albums. However, not all picture in the Albums are ending up on the iPhone. For example, the Smart Album "The Last 6 Months" has over 200 pictures, but only 5 pictures on the iPhone. Other Albums are missing varying(normally the most recent) numbers of pictures.

Any ideas on this?

HI

Well, I have some ideas, but this is a minefield in my view and I can only share what I believe to be correct.

Syncing between your Mac and your iPhone seems to be an all or nothing affair which can be achieved via "My Photo Stream" and/or iCloud Photos.

But if you want to select specific Albums, Folders or Pictures, it looks like this can only be achieved via iTunes (or third party apps).

This article may/may not help: Keep your photos safely stored and up to date on all of your devices - Apple Support

I've been using the Photos app since its inception and I keep thinking I understand the entire setup, then find that it's a lot less clear than it appears.

If the article doesn't help, I can tell you how I have everything setup on my Mac and iDevices.
