As stated above 12.1 is available. This update gives us 70+ more emojis (I was worried I might not have enough!). It also adds a group FaceTime for up to 32 people at a time. Portrait mode background blur has improved. eSIM support is now included if your carrier supports it which would be nice for those who would like to have two phone numbers.
I have installed the update on my Xs Max and iPad Mini 4. No issues - so far!
