Mail failure

When clicking on the 'Mail' icon on both my iPad mini and my iPhone 6S, the mail inbox opens momentarily, then immediately reverts back to the desktop peventing me from gaining access to my emails.

I am able to get to the accounts on my MacBook Pro and through the GMail app. Advice please on how to get access back to my email accounts through the 'Mail' icon.

Have you restarted your devices?

Have you force quit the app on the devices?

Have you hard restarted your devices?

What version of iOS are the devices running?

Device restarted. Apps all force quitted.

How do you hard reset an iPhone and iPad? Old phones, it would be battery out etc. Can you do that with an iPhone/iPad?

IOS Version 12 in use.

Ok. Found out how to do a hard reset and completed it and............it still won't stay on the email inbox page!

Maybe delete the account(s), then add them in again?

Or, Erase all Settings? Settings > General > Reset

Delete Mail and download again?

Erase phone and restore from backup?

Try these in which ever order makes the most sense to you.

Deleted my Google mail account. Re-installed it and all is well! Many thanks! Very, Very much appreciated!
