Got my X (256mb) yesterday and populated it appropriately with all of my files, songs, and pictures. No issues with the transfer of data, backups, etc.

No issues with Face ID.

Surprised at the smaller size than the iPhone "Plus" I liked very much and was used to.

Voicemail-to-text is awesome. It perfectly transcribed a number of voicemails I received since I connected the phone service.

Missing some Settings features such as Battery Percentage (I really liked knowing this information at a glance and now it's not available as an option in settings).

Haven't used the camera function yet but looking forward to it. I will also still use the app, Camera +, because it shoots in Raw.

I adapted to the "full screen" of the X almost immediately.

Surprisingly, I adapted to the lack of a Home button immediately as well, because there is a line at the bottom of the screen where you swipe up to change screens; the speed at which this happens, as well as other features, is noticeably faster.

So far, so good.

Worth the price? I cannot understand why Apple charges so much for these features; talk about making a market for something! Wow.

More to come.

Please add your comments and impressions to your new iPhone X here - and thanks!

Best to all -

Got mine today so in the same vein.... initial thoughts. These may/will change over time I guess.

Face ID works and works well. Within hours it's blending into the background and not something that feels required to like passcode or touch id.

I've coverted the dual camera setup in the Plus model phones but found them too big to be comfortable to use.
Not so with the X. It's slightly bigger than my 7 and slightly heavier but in good ways. It fits my hand, feels solid and robust and far more 'grippy'.

The fit and finish is probably the best I've seen on any tech device.

I've had a quick play with the camera and it doesn't disappoint. Looking forward to getting into that a bit deeper.

It's fast. No it's really fast and my 7 was no slouch.

The greater use of gestures is taking some getting used to. I keep reaching for the home button but I'll learn. The gestures are responsive and immediate.

It's taller, even for my big hands it's a stretch to get to the top of the display but reachability is still there and again I'll adapt.

The screen is stunning, you don't see the glass if you see what I mean, it's like the image is on the phone not in it.

Is it a phone for everyone, no. But then I'd say that about nearly every tech product.Make your choices for your own reasons.

Is it worth £1000? I'm not really going to tackle that too much suffice to say that something is only worth what people will pay. Whether that's a £1 for a chocolate bar that used to be 10p, a £150,000 car when a £5000 runabout would do or a computer that's been shrunk to fit in your pocket. There are many choices. This is just one.

A few idle observations:
Notification content is hidden but shows when face id sees you. No swiping, just pick it up.
The power percentage, while not on screen all the time is present in control centre.
The notch becomes mentally invisible really quickly.
I want Face ID on my iPad :)
I'd like to be able to choose the two 3d touch apps on the lock screen. Rather than Camera and Flashlight.

Who got the iPhone X and what do you think?

Looking at buying an iPhone X and looking for some feedback from owners and users.

There is one thread with a couple of replies from owners. I can't find it, but it's somewhere.

Thanks for the link:)

Would it be better to ask a moderator to move this thread to the other forum?
Have both threads together - or just delete this thread?
