Apple ID not recognising password

About to update my apps on my iphone 5, I was asked for apple ID. But it kept chucking me out and saying password is incorrect - sob ! Oh the frustration - I know it is correct.... What is the procedure to get it recognised, or changed, please?

What version of IOS is on your Iphone 5? Do you have Apple 2-Factor Authentication enabled?

Hi, thanks for the reply- I have 10.3.3 After calming down over two hours I tried again - and everything worked OK.....Good job 'cos I can't find the paper with my 2 factor info on....

It might be a good idea then to turn off 2FA. If you mess up 2FA it will lock you out and it can take several weeks for Apple to sort it out and get you back on line.

Overall Charlie I have had very good luck with 2FA. I was using the older 2 Step but moved up to 2FA. As long as you have a few apple devices to get the code with, all should be fine.

I found something out very interesting the other day. I have an old 3GS iPhone with IOS6 and the original iPad with IOS 5. Those of course do not pop up the screen for the 2FA code. I found out you just put in your password and it will not accept it, then go to another Apple device, the code will pop up and you enter your password again followed by the Code (No Spaces) and it works every time and lets me use even the one iPad 1 with IOS5 on Icloud! I was shocked but it works every time!
