Health App

iPhone 5, ios 9.2.1. Trying to add emergency contact to my Health App. The app opens Contacts, but only certain contacts are useable, all others are "greyed out" and not available, including the one I want to use. I have looked at both types of contacts, but don't see any difference.

Why would the Health App only allow certain Contacts to be used as emergency contacts? The contact I want to use has all necessary information, 2 phone numbers, email, and home address, etc.

How about going over the steps you took to get to contacts from the Health App? Are you trying to access contacts from the "Medical ID"? And verify the "Health App" is the standard app that comes with iOS 9.2.1 and not some other health app you downloaded from the App Store.

Mine is the same (iPhone 5s, 9.2.1) with some contacts greyed out. Not a problem here because my ICE is available.
