Transfer CD to new iPad

I have a CD with the user manual for a new TV. I would like to transfer the manual to my new iPad and save it on it. How can I do this?

If its a PDF then you can drag it into iTunes and it will transfer as a Book

Actually, the easy way to transfer things like PDF files and even photos is to get a free 2 GB Dropbox account (app) on both your Mac and iPad. Then whatever you drag into Dropbox will automatically show up on the iPad. You can use iTunes but then you have to sync each time you want to transfer.
