I think you need to work through this with the Wi-Fi providers network manager. They will know their network settings and what to change on you MBP.

But I¨m talking about a different network I"m trying to connect, not mine at home. This issue happens also when I return home and try to connect to the my network, but in those cases there are different Wifi providers.

I think if you re-read Bobs answer and think about it for a second or two, that is exactly what he was talking about.

You might want to also go through your Network System Preference Pane and its Wi-Fi options for Advanced And also try the Assist me Option.

Once configured you'll see there's also an option to remember the last used working Settings.

You might want to try disabling that until you get things working properly, and then enable it so that it would hopefully connect to each appropriate network when you change locations.

Hi Patrick and thanks for your advice. I made your proposal as such, entering Advanced, but I can not find what can be configured there. The problem continues despite everything and I can not find the reason.
Could you be more specific in your proposal?
Thank you

The Assist option does not detail solutions but explains the elements.

I understand so I will give it a try. I disable this option and now I will try to connect to other network. But what is the point that will enable again the option to remember? I meant if I connect well to other network then I could enable again the option? Sorry but I"m very new with this issue. Be patience with me, please

OK, I went to the bar on the corner and I connected without problems to their network. Does that mean that I can now enable again the option to remember the networks?

Yes, You should be able to enable it now that it seems to be working properly and maybe it will remember the settings correctly when the option is once again enabled.

The reason for re-doing your settings as we suggested is sometimes they are corrupt or just confused and turning them off and then back on often resets the plist file Correctly that is used to save the settings. Just in case you were wondering.

PS: It's not a guaranteed fix, but will often fix the trouble.

I'm sorry to tell you that the experiment did not succeed and when I tried to connect to another network outside my house, everything froze and the color wheel began to spin without stopping until I had to restart the computer. Now I went back to my house and when I tried to connect to my home network I had the same problem.
If anyone has any advice I will thank you. But if I'm not going to have to seek help with the geniuses of Apple.
Thanks anyway

If all the Wi-Fi routers that you were able to connect to previously were on and working, then something on your Mac is goofy.

All I can suggest is maybe doing an SMC and PRAM Reset, and if none of those work or improve the situation, then something is broken or just not working on your Mac and I would suggest getting it off to some Mac hospital where they should be able to do some tests and confirmations. If that is not possible, then I would pick up a USB Wi-Fi Dongle and see if it works,

There is a chance that the Wi-Fi airport card in your Mac is kaput, or at least sometimes goofy as it seems to work sometimes, but definitely not consistently, neither of which is very good, but definitely annoying.

Thanks for your tips. I have previously done an SMC reset but not a PRAM reset but without results. You may be right and there is a problem with the Wi-Fi card on my computer. Of course that needs the revision of an Apple technician.
I'll tell you after the results, but only when I have time to see some Apple genius.
Thank you again

Well, finally talk to an Apple expert who immediately identified the problem. The solution was to enter the Network and then in the top location window, create a new address with another name and apply. By the tests that I did the computer connects immediately to the networks.

Great news!!!

Let's hope that fix fixes the problem permanently.

Good thinking on the Apple tech's part, I guess we missed that as a suggestion which is a bit odd. ie: Creating a new setting often fixes some problems.

Patrick:

There used to be a procedure where you could wipe out all the old network settings and start over. If I remember correctly, that worked for me when I was having difficulties similar to member carel. That particular procedure was given as a hint in the old Macworld Magazine forums that no longer exist. I should have written it down as some of the settings are hidden away and hard to find.

I still have this available using Mavericks:
How to Delete WiFi Network on Mac
mac wipe out all the old network settings - Google Search

I would think it should work well enough unless Apple removed/relocated the option in later macOS versions.
