Oracle's DYN Updater Client Fails to Detect New IP Address

Let me begin by acknowledging the existing of free dynamic IP services. But, I prepaid a subscription to Dyn and am stuck with it for the time being.

I'm a long-time user of Dyn and, until recently, was satisfied with it.

But, lately the Mac updater client has failed to detect changes in my IP address. I get a new IP address from my ISP about every day. What follows is a list of instances where the Dyn update client has failed to detect a change in my IP address:

After several months of back-and-forth with Dyn about the poor performance of their update client I received a full refund.

I'm now using Dynu which, so far, seems to detect changed IP address very quickly. The user has control over how often the update client checks the IP address. The updater and Dynu control panel are both easy to set up and use.
