ever google this? cant find any good info on how to do it. I was going to get mac os server, but the reviews for it are horrible. so, how do I make an old mac a mail server? its a 2007 imac running el capitan.

can this even be done on an older mac? if its really complicated I may not even bother but I am curious how and if it can be done.

Probably, but I sure can't imagine anyone doing so using with that generation Mac model, especially for any reliable email.

Why are you even considering doing so…???… and for that there should be some good suggestions and methods that google should be able to find for you.

just for fun, a geek project to see if I can do it. probably would not use it for long if I did set it up. I tried google once not finding any articles on how to do it. I'll try again though. I thought maybe someone here has done it before and could give some info as to how they did it.
