You are talking about GIMP, right? Not GIMPShop?

For GIMP, you need to install X11 for GIMP to work. X11 came with your install disks with your Mac.

Hmmm... doesn't sound like you got the Mac version. Also, you need to install X11 from your OS X disc before you can install POSIX applications.

You can get the Mac verison of The Gimp here...

You beat me to it - and I was pretty quick too! But it doesn't sound like he's got the Mac version since it does come packed in a DMG file and has a .app extension.

I downloaded 2.2.10 because when I had 2.2.11 everything that were tools in the two main windows disappered and i couldn't get them back. Does anyone know why? Also I heard of something like gimp lite or some kind of gimp program that wasn't so advanced as regular gimp..does anyone know where i can get this?
