I am looking for software that will allow me to mark up screenshots after I have taken them. For example, to put ovals, boxes, arrows, around words and icons. I have seen this done, but I have never been able to figure out how it's done. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi:

Check out the Preview App which you should already have on your Mac. It will do what you want. Easy to use.

Using Preview.app, you should see the markup options under Tools(menu) > Annotate.

I differ a bit in opinion usage and suggest it's not exactly what I would call one of Apple's better implementations in an app. But it works and some practice may be required.

For more help and instructions have a look at some of the hits from here:
https://www.google.com/search?clien...+preview+markup+annotations&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

Your methods may depend on what OS X and Preview.app versions you're using and what you are wanting to markup.

Preview.app allows such markups with most images and pdf files.

PS: One additional neat thing you can do is take a "photo" of your signature that you can use (and resize etc.) to "sign" a document.

All legal where I live, so maybe check if it's the same where you live. :Smirk:
