Great photo, and it's nice to see you made it here :)

Cheers :)

Hugh

Thanks, it was from the end of this year's Iditarod. Since it was the middle of the night when the first musher came in the lighting was terrible, but I recently went back and reedited it and tried the B&W and I think it ended up working.

Don't worry about one a month. I'm sure the "Administrator" will overlook that. Post away. :)

I can't get this down to an acceptable size without it being postage stamp dimensions.

I don't use any web hosting sites so a miniature version is all that's possible. Hang on - it's my cover photo on facebook which will be accessible by all (until I change it). https://www.facebook.com/suenic

It's been a long long time since I posted a picture on this thread, but here's my latest one taken in a country park near my home :)

Thank you sir...great to hear from ya & very nice photo.:)

This area used to be much more active (in the past when digital camera's started to become all the rage). Maybe due to folks thinking to post a photo here the photos had to be taken with high-end cameras...and a person needed to be a super good photographer.

But really...the quality of cellphone cameras is so much better than they once were (have been way better for a long time)...and everyone I know is always "snapping away" taking photos with their cellphones.

There's got to be lots of great photos out there. Everyone...please feel free to post those cellphone snaps too...we'd love to see them:)

Nick

p.s. The sub-forum description states..."Images, Graphic Design, and Digital Photography". Cellphone snaps count too.:)

Word of warning. Of course please keep everything "Disney Friendly". Inappropriate snaps will be removed immediately...and if a serious enough infraction...accounts will be insta-banned. Thanks

Not a ton of artistry in this, but a pretty good demonstration of the Night Mode on my iPhone 13. The time is 3:45 AM last Friday morning, just as the snow was getting to the end. Hand held, no tripod. Exposure was about 1-1.5 seconds. I was surprised at the sharpness and the shading in the dark areas without the lights being blown out. It is a good camera!

Anytime someone says to me, "oh, nice picture," I have to remind them that it's the camera doing all the work, not me. My 13 Pro Max takes pictures that make me look good when I'm really, on the best of days, a mediocre photographer.

@MacInWin, that pictures makes me miss snow! Living in the tropics now (having moved from Toronto), I haven't seen snow since Jan 2020. Now, I just try to keep cool in a summer environment where it's already 35-38° at 7am... (and still in the 20s in the middle of "winter"). But, you know, it has its benefits.

Well, @vansmith, today started at -8C, climbed to -1, now is back down to -3. And the forecast for tomorrow is .6cm (not 3cm, which I originally said) of ice. So, be careful what you "miss!"

What I want to know is if Bryan has picked up an Aussie accent yet? :p
