    Regular updates?
Both Linux and Windows have links to check that your basic system is up to date. Usually. this is automatic I can't find any way of updating or checking this with an iMac Yosermite.
    Any help please?

If you go to System Preferences>App Store there are some settings that can be adjusted to control what gets updated automatically.
