    secure connection
I keep getting the message "Safari can't open the page as it can't establish a secure connection to server"
Can anyone help me rectify this as Apple say it's the service provider and the service provider says it is not them!

Which specific website are you trying to connect to? Are you trying to connect using HTTPS?

Also, have you tried to reach the web page via another browser?

    Thanks for your rapid reply.

Yes, I am trying to connect to the National Lotterey which is HTTPS. I have the same problem with other websites but can't remember which or if they were also HTTPS.

Yes, I have tried with Google Chrome and Opera. Same result

Have you tried clearing your history, cookies, and website data?

If none of that works, then perhaps there's a privacy/security setting that needs to be changed? But if this is happening with multiple browsers, it's likely a setting in macOS itself that needs to be changed. Or maybe your ISP is wrong and they are indeed the problem?

If you Open Safari, then use Command + comma to open Safari Preferences, then click on Privacy.

Make sure that "Block all cookies" is not checked.

"Block all cookies" = "Don’t let any websites, third parties, or advertisers store cookies and other data on your Mac. This may prevent some websites from working properly."
