That's why I installed my trusted Win 7 64 Bit Ultimate Edition... which was actually my default OS for Bootcamp, but for some reason I cannot remember anymore I had bought a secondhand Win 7 32Bit....
Hey all, last week I upgraded my MBP late 2011/13"/2.4 GHz from 4 GB RAM to 16 GB RAM.
But if I check in Bootcamp, it does recognize the whole 16 GB, but doesn't allocate it as usable.
This is...
I learned in Aug 2010 that Farcry 3 was in the making, and I knew I had to have that game, as Farcry 2 was already great in 2008.
Having played it for about 5 or 6 days.... It's AWESOME!!

What influence could bad reporting have on a receptionist of a hospital.
Besides, how long would it take for it to subside... a week?
I think it's all a little exaggerated, even a possibility...
Have you tried updating Silverlight? Get Silverlight | Microsoft Silverlight
If that doesn't work, see if it does work in another browser, and post back with results.

When you say 'plug into surround sound'... what do you mean by that?
And what make and model TV do you have, cause some TV's do not support playing from
an external HDD.

Have you tried an external keyboard?
See if that does work then go from there...

Don't forget to back up your important stuff...
iPhone No Sound/ Fixes for no sound on Speaker, Apps, Music, Videos... may contain a resolution for you....

I assume you did an upgrade instead of a clean install.
My next suggestion would be to perform the latter, after backing up using Time Machine.

It's possible that some drivers have inadvertently tampered with the EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface)
You could try installing reFIT.
This should bring up a boot menu regardless of your holding...
If it doesn't accept any CD's or DVD's, there's only one option in my opinion.... set up a meeting at your local/nearest Apple Store.
Sounds to me like there's something wrong with your RAM, but...
This helped in shutting it off my iPod back in the days, I put it in the freezer, and waited a day or so.
This will speed up the battery drain considerably.
Then it should start up again.

Is there anything else noticeably wrong with the HDD, like making a clicking sound, or other noises?
If not, have you tried reinstalling your OS?
Have you done a hardware check?

This issue has been discussed here before, so I'll just link you that thread :)

Maybe this...
Just be sure that you're Mac isn't still under warranty, cause if it is... taking a trip to the nearest Apple genius bar would be a much wiser decision to make :)

Could be a noise that comes from the grounding springs that touch the case.
Just remove the back cover and place a small piece of tape on the back of the case to prevent the grounding spring...
