I have looked in the Extensions folder. There are 12 kexts there but none of them seem to relate to Kensington or to Trackball. I dont recognise any of the file names but I am not very knowledgeable...

Yes, they all show as audiobooks.

I have 5 audiobooks which appear in ITunes. 'Sync all audiobooks' is ticked and seems to work but I cant find the audiobooks on my Ipad. All other catagories sync properly.
